Indie RPG Bastion not looking hollow

I feel bad about the pun. I really do. But common law states that every title I give to news items must be a pun, so here we are.

Anyway, Bastion is an independent action RPG, on Showcase at PAX. We didn’t know a whole lot about it, but now there’s a debut trailer, and it looks shiny. For those of you too lazy to click on the embed, it looks like a fantasy, Diablo perspective RPG with world restoration elements. It’s also enormously pretty. Like, so pretty. Interesting character designs, attractive graphics, and world building: it’s a trifecta of what’s hip and happening in video game design.

It’s on display at PAX, as one of the noteworthy indie games, and will supposedly be available for PC and various digital distributions in 2011. At least, it’ll be a game to keep an eye on as PAX approaches.
