Cladun: This is an RPG

EXCITING title aside, this is a Nippon Icchi game you may not want to miss. It’s a hack-n-slash RPG made by the minds behind the wacky Disgaea, so think classic Zelda with plenty of twisted humor, plus some serious RPG elements. Pictured above is a screenshot from the official website, where you interface with different pages by moving an actual character around. As you can see, has a retro feel to it–not unlike 3D Dot Heroes before it. And, like 3D Dot Heroes, you can customize your character’s entire look.

That’s not all, though. You can also define what your final boss looks like. Me, I’m thinking of making him Gary Oak from Pokemon–the pinnacle of all arch-rivals. It’s the only logical thing, really. The other interesting thing about Cladun, is that dungeons are randomly generated for your dungeon-crawling pleasure.

Watch this video to learn a bit more about its plot, as well as learn about other features–like the character creator in action, co-op/versus play, and the thousands upon thousands of unique equipment available to you.

The internets seem to be in agreement that this is, not surprisingly, a very hilarious game. Make sure to look for this title sometime this fall!
