'Goth Geek Bastard' Swan terrorizes Lollipop Chainsaw

Lollipop Chainsaw continues it’s ridiculous streak with a new trailer revealing the villain of the game. Meet Swan, a brooding goth who wants to destroy the world with, you guessed it, zombies! Never mind the fact that he looks like Marilyn Manson’s bastard son, why is a goth named after a majestic white bird? Why is his favorite food Pez? Does it matter? Remember, were talking about Suda51 here. Suda’s characters are often very over the top and nonsensical, so Swan’s ironic name and super goth agenda fits the bill. His dark persona is the perfect foil to accompany the happy, ‘lollipops and sunshine’  Juliet Starling.

What both characters have in common is that they’re huge generalizations of the cultures they embody, but ultimately are not meant to be taken seriously. Like No More Heroes and Shadows of the Damned, Lollipop Chainsaw looks like another fun, zany trip down the rabbit hole that pokes fun at social norms on the side. Hopefully these qualities help differentiate Lollipop Chainsaw from the other million zombie games on the market.
