Dark Souls PC petition lists over 54,000 signatures and counting
I have yet to play Dark Souls, but I’ll be damned if its predecessor Demon’s Souls didn’t make me feel like trash for dying countless times. It was all worth it for the absolute satisfaction you receive after trotting through a dungeon or defeating a challenging boss. It is a darn shame that the unique gameplay that From Software’s hit series offers can’t be experienced on the PC. What’s that? There’s a petition to fix that? Splendid. Through a forum post, a Namco employee stated that a PC port of Dark Souls is possible if the demand for one presents itself. The employee even baits the fans by asking for “a successful petition”. Naturally, fans took the bait and made a petition. Lets be real here for a second, petitions don’t always work. In fact, most of the time they don’t work. This may be a different story though. The petition is only three days old and yet it has garnered 54,000 signatures and counting. That’s pretty quick for an online petition.
I won’t mind seeing Dark Souls bringing a plague of death to another platform, so why not? If the petition continues at this rate I can see it making at least a million by the end of the week. You could almost say victory is assured, just like that time when you almost beat Ceaseless Discharge. Almost. |
