Kingdom Hearts 3D confirmed for U.S. release, keeping awful title

Dream Drop Distance? Really? The next spinoff for the Kingdom Hearts series will be arriving on our shores for 3DS in 2012. Although this isn’t as surprising as the localization of Xenoblade, it’s good news for less jaded Kingdom Hearts fans who aren’t sick of non-numbered titles in the series. Kindgom Hearts 3D will be a brand new story naturally featuring 3D graphics and Sora and Riku as the two playable characters as well. The Disney-themed worlds will (thankfully) be all new including the likes of Hunchback of Notre Dame and Pinnochio. There’s also the surprising, but welcome inclusion of cameos from the main cast of The World Ends With You. Although director Tetsuya Nomura states that the game is just as important as a numbered title in the series, I’m still waiting for a proper Kingdom Hearts 3 on PS3. Dream Drop Distance? Really? |
