New Trailer for Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon Released!

This game possibly has the coolest subtitle for any game I’ve seen in a long time, and judging from the newly released trailer, aptly named Destruction, the game thankfully isn’t taking the subject matter all too seriously: We wanted to make it like an over-the-top, super-ridiculous, Michael Bay on steroids action movie. Like in its most recent predecessor, EDF 2017, the enemies in the game are giant bugs…from space. The buildings being destroyed do look slightly like they were made of cardboard, and seem to shatter way too easily and neatly. But come on, Insect Armageddon? That alone makes me want to forget the animation flaws the game might have, and instead revel in the absurdity. Insect Armageddon is scheduled for release on July 5th in North America. |
