Sometimes, some days, something comes along that just makes everything brighter.

And that something for today is Super Mario Crossover. To put it simply, this game is the original Super Mario Brothers, playable with a laundry list of classic NES era characters, Samus, Link, and Mega Man chief among them. Or the leading man from the last video game I beat, Simon Belmont of Castlevania 2. What a horrible night to have a curse.

Play it, live it, love it before it gets boinked by Nintendo. I’d be playing it right now if I were not writing for your amusement. Games journalism: a harsh mistress.
