DotA 2 Trailer and Beta Sign-ups

Soon after releasing its official trailer at Gamescom, games developer Valve announced that beta sign-ups have begun for DotA 2.

Dota 2 is the long-awaited stand-alone sequel to the Warcraft III custom map mod called Defense of the Ancients.  This genre of game has been dubbed MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) and has seen a surge in popularity with the release of titles such as League of Legends, Bloodline Champions, and Heroes of Newerth.
