Bethesda Community Interview on Skyrim

The wait is over! The good folks at Bethesda have posted the Fan Interview on the official Bethesda Forums. Many of us here at Nightmare Mode are drooling of some of the juicy bits that have been revealed in this interview.

One of the more interesting pieces involve changes to Enchanting and making it a character skill that can be improved.  And instead of learning spells and enchanting with that, you will be breaking down magical equipment for their spells and transferring the enchantment.

You can now forge your own weapons and armor. The quality will depend on the ingredients used and your skill level. You can also improve your equipment at a forge. And the graphics for armor and weapons have been revamped as well

Dragon shouts will be available to all classes and there will most likely be specific one geared towards certain play styles. Like stealthy or long range characters will have access to shouts that will help them in that style of gameplay. But the people at Bethesda weren’t ready to fully comment on it.

Not everything though has to deal with equipment and spells. Take for example you can get married in Skyrim and move into a house together. Or that the PC version will have higher res textures, larger render modes, and a bunch of other effects you can scale up if your machine is a beast as well as the creation kit that TES fans have come to know and love. And a totally redone facial system if that wasn’t enough.
